Cat Power: Cat Noir returns to cinemas this summer
Cat Power is back in cinemas next summer, with a new film coming to cinemases in the US, Canada and Australia.
Cat Noir is based on the novel by Michael Crichton, who also wrote the movie.
It is the latest in the long line of documentaries to star the iconic cat, and the first to be directed by the British actor Ben Wheatley, who was the first person to win the Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of the cat in his film, The Cat in the Hat.
Cat Power director Mike Leigh is an award-winning film-maker and author, having written three books, including The Cat of the Apocalypse and The Great Cat Hunt.
Cat Noir was Leigh’s first major collaboration with the filmmakers, and it was filmed in front of a huge live audience at the Odeon Theatre in the city of Sydney, New South Wales, which is the same location of the film.
It stars Daniel Bruhl, who starred in The Matrix trilogy, as the title character, and will be released in cinemases across the US and Canada on August 26.
Cat power will be available in cinemassages from August 25.
Ahead of the release, Cat Noir stars Ben Wheatie and Chloe Sevigny, who is a cat lover.
She is also the cat’s name.
The film stars Chloe Sevigne, Emma Roberts, Tom Cavanagh and Nick Frost.
CatPower: Cat noir has been in cinemascores in the UK and Australia for the past six years.
The film will also be shown in cinemasses in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Lithuania, the Netherlands and Portugal.
Cat noir is a collaboration between Cat Power and Cat Noir Productions.
